Terra Pro is a natural boost for healthier lawns and gardens

Terra Pro is a natural boost for healthier lawns and gardens

Get naturally bigger, better, healthier plants with Terra Pro from Quality Liquid Feed (QLF).

Developed by QLF Agronomy, Terra Pro is a molasses-based fertilizer that works by enhancing the natural relationship between plants and soil microbes -- offering a significant shift from traditional synthetic fertilizers, making it a unique solution for homeowners seeking healthier plants, richer soil, and a more ecologically responsible approach to fertilization.

How Terra Pro Works

At its core, Terra Pro mimics a process that naturally occurs in the soil. In nature, plant roots release substances known as root exudates -- sugars, organic acids, and metabolites -- that feed beneficial microbes in the soil. These microbes, in turn, help release nutrients from the soil and make them more accessible to the plant.

Terra Pro replicates this process by using molasses, which is rich in plant-based nutrients and microbial energy. When applied to soil, it provides a source of carbon and organic compounds that fuel microbial activity. This microbial boost enhances the breakdown of nutrients in the soil, facilitating better nutrient uptake by the plants and contributing to overall plant health.

"Instead of just dumping synthetic nutrients into the soil, Terra Pro energizes the biology that's already there," QLF Greenhouse Manager Anthony Roth said.

"It works with nature, not against it."

A Versatile Solution for Every Garden

Terra Pro isn't a one-size-fits-all product. It's tailored to meet different gardening needs with three targeted formulas:

Lawn boost is designed specifically for grass, promoting lush, green lawns with deep root systems.

Veggie Boost is ideal for vegetable gardens and fruit trees, delivering a balanced nutrition to maximize fruiting and flowering.

Garden Boost is geared toward ornamental flowers and shrubs, enhancing bloom quality and plant vigor.

Terra Pro comes in a convenient hose-end spray bottle, making it simple and easy to apply. Simply attach it to a garden hose, turn a dial and water plants as usual.

"It's really user-friendly. Anyone with a garden hose can use it. No complicated mixing or special equipment needed," Roth said.

A natural solution

Molasses sets Terra Pro apart from its synthetic counterparts. Because molasses is derived from plants, it contains a variety of plant-available nutrients, organic acids, and natural metabolites. These compounds not only nourish the microbes but also align with the natural cycles already present in the ecosystem.

"You're basically feeding the soil's biology. Molasses is rich in everything microbes need to thrive," Roth said.

Because Terra Pro works by boosting existing soil life, it allows for more efficient nutrient use. Rather than applying large quantities of synthetic fertilizer that may leach into waterways or go unused by plants, Terra Pro makes better use of nutrients already present in the soil.

Healthier plants, healthier soil

Making better use of nutrients is not only more effective in the long-run, but also better for the environment. Healthier microbial communities in the soil improve nutrient cycling, support plant resilience, and reduce the need for excessive inputs.

In a greenhouse study conducted by QLF, flowers treated with Terra Pro bloomed 45 days earlier than untreated plants -- a dramatic demonstration of how improved nutrient uptake can accelerate plant development and enhance garden performance.

"Anyone who wants to get the best out of their flowers, their vegetables, or their lawn," Roth said.

Terra Pro is available online and through select retailers including Walmart, Theisen's, and Tractor Supply, with more distribution options in development.

As homeowners increasingly look for greener solutions to grow beautiful landscapes and bountiful gardens, Terra Pro stands out by combining scientific know-how with the simplicity of natural systems.

By harnessing the power of molasses and microbial energy, it invites everyday gardeners to grow not just bigger, healthier plants but healthier ecosystems right in their own backyard.
