WESTON, Wis. (WSAW) - Even with the rolling thunderstorms, D.C. Everest and Marshfield managed to play their soccer game on Thursday from inside the comfort of Greenheck Turner Community Center. The Evergreens won the match 2-0.
The Evergreens got things going in the first 15 minutes, getting a goal from Ava Hopper to start the scoring. From there, keeper Binne Braunger dialed in to help Everest win with a shutout, 2-0.
With the win, Everest moves to 5-1 in the conference and 10-6 overall. Their next game is on Saturday against Eau Claire North. The loss moves Marshfield to .500 in the Valley at 3-3. They play again on Tuesday against New Richmond.
