LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a fire at an elementary school just after 4:00 a.m. in north Lubbock.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke pouring out of the stand-alone gymnasium at Wright Elementary School.
Once inside the building, crews found the fire involved several pallets of hand sanitizer and books stored inside the gym.
Crews were able to safely contain the fire. No injuries were reported.
L-F-R and the Lubbock Fire Marshall's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
