INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -- A missing girl found dead by the Indianapolis airport in February died of a drug overdose, the Marion County Coroner's Office confirmed.
Shaylee Snyder, 15, was first reported missing on Feb. 10, according to Indianapolis police.
Two days after her disappearance, investigators met with family to gather more information about the teen. Her family reported she had no known medical conditions and didn't believe she was in immediate danger, IMPD says. She also left home without a cell phone and couldn't be tracked.
On Feb. 22, Snyder's body was found near the Indianapolis airport in the 1800 block of Sigsbee Street.
The Marion County coroner said Thursday her cause of death was ruled as "combined intoxication by methamphetamine and heroin."
The manner of death was ruled as accidental.
